Seoul → Suwon → Yongin → Seoul

Meet tour guide at hotel lobby. Today your tour guide takes you to Gyeonggi-do Province, which surrounds Seoul like a doughnut, offers many attractions easily accessible from Seoul. It features great natural landscapes as well as historical sites that date back to the Joseon Dynasty and the division of Korea. This morning you will visit Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. Hwaseong Fortress is the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, from the latter days of the Joseon Period (1392-1910). The fortress wall is 5.52km long and it has a great variety of military facilities you cannot find at other fortress. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage in 1997 for its architectural value and military functions. After the tour, have a lunch at local restaurant. Next, proceed to Yongin, a village of the late Joseon Dynasty has been vividly recreated here and visit Korean Folk Village which you can see traditional houses, farmers' music, traditional wedding ceremonies and acrobatics on a tightrope. After the tour, you will return back to your hotel in Seoul.
